Who we are and why you can trust us to help your child with SATs
We are a group of teachers who are also parents to primary-aged children; when we came to help our children prepare for their SATs, we became frustrated. We know how great revision resources can be (we have made lots for GCSE and A-Level revision on Primrose Kitten Academy).
We found that quality could have been better; some promised a lot and fell short, and some involved too much time and input from us as parents.
As much as I love my boys, I don't want to spend hours reading out practice spelling tests. Some apps that schools subscribe to are great for learning rather than exam preparation. So, we sat with our children at our various kitchen tables and asked them what they would like as part of their preparation.
We combined that with what we know about teaching and revision. We showed them the worksheets we made and had them do all our practice tests; they told us what worked and what they liked and hated, and we listened.
We're proud of the results!
Thanks to the various Primrose Kitten children who patiently answered our many questions: Nancy, Eli, Lucas, Harrison, Violet, Jemima, and Casper, but especially Nancy!
